Don't you just love the front numberplate on the Norton!!! Might put off those as*holes who walk out in front of you in the street cos it's only a bike!

The Norton is actually a 500ss - wideline featherbed frame.

The rack was only on for a trip I was making to a rally - it normally stayed off.

Bike had been given the "cafe racer" treatment as was mandatory in those days and believe me with that tank and frame if you think the BB spreads yer legs you aint felt nothing!!

Oh and those exhaust pipes - off the bike you could see light right through them........ wonderful!

Note the wonderful handlebar muffs on the CB750F2 (last of the original 750/4 SOHC line), also the comstar wheels!!

The Honda later ended up with a piper 4/1 system on it.

Some years later the Honda was stolen from outside terminal 1 at heathrow airport while I was working a late shift and was never recovered.....

The Norton gave me a lot of fun and taught me how to rebuild an engine!! Eventaully was sold for the huge sum of ?250..... and I made a profit!!

The really frightening photos I've some across are the ones with my old mates in those days - the fashions (or lack of 'em) are best not seen.
