If you don't know what the Nurburgring is, then don't read any further - you won't like the place.

If you do know what it is and have ever wondered about going, then just stop wondering about it and go. I've just got back from my second trip there and it is an amazing place - the only place on earth where you can do that kind of crazy shit. If you're not sure where to begin, have a look here www.nurburgring.org.uk as it's a good place for info.

If you have been before, then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about and why I'm already planning the next trip

No piccies,

Was with Byrne-Up bike tours (very good) who did have a photographer but it rained most of the day Saturday so only did one lap. Was a glorious day Sunday and managed 17 laps.

Unfortunately there were loads of crashes on Sunday, we worked out that the circuit was closed for nearly 5 hours in total! This meant that when the photographer went out in the afternoon he wasn't able to get many piccies.

I did manage a sub-9 minute lap when following a guide round flat out (I was, he wasn't!), so well chuffed with that.

Fantastic place

Joe,

Won't be going again until next year, due to financial and leave restraints.

They haven't posted opening dates/times for next year yet, will be in touch with you about it nearer the time (probably May/June)

FUK,

The two times I have been, I went with www.byrne-up.co.uk I would happily go with them for a third time too.

Next year though, I am trying to persuade a bunch of car tuning mates to bring their pocket rockets along as I know they'd love it too. If this comes off, I'll probably trailer my bike over. But, as we know full well, even though they are keen now, come the time they may well back out in which case I'll go with Byrne Up again as just about everything is taken care of for you.

They obviously charge more than if you do it on your own, but it's not unreasonable, the camaraderie is good and the back up is there should the worst happen.

I know Joe has expressed an interest in the past, Pete is keen to come next time, I'll definitely be there so if you come too we'll have a right giggle R#?
