Now begins my diet

Just got some leathers off of ebay, jacket size 46" trousers 36" I can't do either of them up, which is strange cos I'm a 45" chest and can still get into a 34" trousers at a push, so Bev says "You are going to have to put them back on ebay and hope you get what you paid for them" so I said "better still I will use it as an incentive to lose the weight that I have been promising to do" so after my stew and Dumplings tonight my diet starts tomorrow, I want to lose about three stone before the summer.

Same here Derek, i also bought some leathers from e-bay, apart from the fact the jacket is very tight across the tummy area

My diet starts on Friday :B

probably the worst sort of diet, the best way (so I am informed ) is to make sure you have a breakfast, a main meal at lunch time and a light snack at tea time and do not eat after 8pm something to do with training your metabolism and the not eating after 8pm is because supposedly that is our least active time of day and the food is not digesting whilst we are asleep, other than that just eat sensibly,

Be careful with leather sizes Derek. I'm a 44 chest, but my leathers are size 54.

And as for getting into 34"trousers "at a push", what do you push with, a snow plough?

Don't worry Em
If I can still get into my RST's - last year's but which haven't had much wear - I reckon you shouldn't have too much trouble. The thing about them is, because they are 'lady shaped' you get more room round the tummy area and on mine, the trouser waistband is entirely elastic which is extremely helpful! I veer between a large 12 and a very large 14 (sounds better than 'a small 16' LOL)

The trouble with trying to pour ourselves into men's leathers is that they are too shallow from waist to crutch - but then, curiously baggy around the crutch!!

The only real trouble with my particular RST's is the fact that the jacket is perforated on the front, shoulder area and if it's not a red hot day a gale force wind blows down the sleeves and me arms freeze. It might be ok if you're riding the bike but sat on the pillion, not doing anything much with my arms it's not good.

Steve, are you sure that your 54 size is not euro size????? British sizing is totally different. 54 would be about right in euro size for a 44" british chest size!!!!!!!!!!!!! :}

They look good. Why you selling em??

Selling because they do`nt really go with my RED BIRD.

I thought of getting a BLUE BIRD But changing my leathers is a cheaper option !!!

Couldn't you take them to a leather specialist and have them dyed? :dunno:

I do`nt know how successful dyeing would be! I`ve never had leather dyed.
Would it not wear off in places over time?

:dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

nice colour bike, shame about the leathers,!!! :puke:
I can see why your so keen to get rid,!!
your correct about the leather dye, I made a "feeble" attempt at altering the hue of a certain set of leathers I have,!! it didnt even come near to altering the colour,!! :dunno:
