Lucky it wasn’t your ankleIt's hell out there, I walked out to the garage to move the bike, swung my leg over & immediately banged my knee against the pannier bracket. As the blood trickled down my leg, I realised that unless I could stop the bleeding myself, I was going to be in trouble.
I had to limp back to the relative safety of the house, across a wet concrete drive, then across the tiled kitchen floor in wet shoes.
I very nearly didn't make it.
Luckily I'm now sitting down in the study with a tepid cup of decaf coffee and recovering from the ordeal
I was going to wrap some Christmas pressies, but I'm looking at the scissors and thinking "sharp and pointy....risky".
Before proceeding further, I thought I'd assess the pros and cons over a cup of tea.... but I'm looking at the kettle (electric shock risk) and then there's the boiling water (scalding risk) and wondering if I'd be safer with a glass of water. But then I remembered the risk of getting cut by broken glass or the possibility that I might fall in the sink while the tap is on and drown.
If I dodge those two then there's still a risk that I might spill the water and go arse over tit by stepping in the resultant spillage.
I was going to sit on the sofa and take some time to consider the dangers, but the cat's sat there. Rabies risk for sure.
Fuck it, I'm off back to bed. Wake me when the twats are back at work
Just keep taking the pills...
