Possibly the most unenvironmentally friendly, unnecessary carbon footprint and largesse I have ever seen.

Impressive bit of kit though.

Yes, but is saves those rich yacht owners from actually setting out across a ocean with actual waves.

Avoids the risk of spilling the G&T.
All they have to do then is hop on a first class flight or private jet.

The only problem is they keep ringing up to ask why it's not there yet, it left yesterday morning, what's the delay?

One of the wife's cousins used to crew yachts for the rich and famous. They'd sail it somewhere, leave it and he and other freelance crew members would fly out and sail it to wherever the owner wanted it parked up.
The money was good apparently, but it meant that he was permanently on standby, ready to go at a moments notice. Certainly explained why his marriage went out the window early on.
On the plus side, when he took time off it was for a couple of months at a time.
