hi after 8 months without a bike (last one sv 1000)i have started to look and been trying out a few birds to which i have decided thats the bike for me
But i have one question
yesterday i went and had a look at a sliver bird on a 51plate with only 10300 miles on the clock but at a closer look around the screw that fix the screen in place the paint had come away and showed red under the paint i was told by the sales man that honda could not sale the candy red bikes very well so they sprayed a few sliver is this correct or is my first thought of a front end smack correct

That is indeed correct. Several colours are red underneath except fast black whose performance would be detrimentally affected. Welcome by the way.

I can just picture the scene.

Honda Midland Blackbird shop has too many red Birds. A quick call to Japan. "Ah soo, velly good..send rur fookas back..we take panels off and paint em anuvva corour...velly nice eh."

Isn't red one of the primer/base coats under sliver?
