Yea I know I'm Irish but I'm not that slow.
What I said still stands - they are giving different recommendations
on different Bridgestone sites.

So why do they not have the Bird on the Irish option.
Racism again ! ! and all we did for you! ! :B

The OFFICIAL response e-mailed from Bridgestone regarding 36 F and 42 R for the BT023s on the Blackbird is :

I would use what we, Bridgestone, recommend, as this is what has performed the best using our own test criteria and this is the pressure that has been passed by the TuV etc?

Funny that, ...

Bryn has stated categorically 42 / 42 .. I think, given the mans knowlege and experience working for and developing Bridgestone tyres, I will stick to what HE says ( if I ever wanted to go back to tyres that, sadly, STILL square off at the drop of a hat..

Cannot believe that 15 years down the line they have still got the same issues..

Excellent tyres, great grip, but compromised by wearing poorly on sports touring bikes due to flatting off.

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
tyres

Well I dropped the front tyre to 36psi,
did 250 miles last week and 580 this weekend no horror story to tell, twisties, motorway, a,b,c,d, roads
all fine.

I was with a BB rider at the weekend who got 7k from a rear, bit better than the 5K I am averaging, but riding styles eh,

But proberly get 10k fitted on a red Bird

BMW DTRUCK,

front tyres are different pattern, GT on the left, std 023 on the right

Gary is a salesman.. And one of the reasons I and a good many others went away from them.. Bryn actually developed the tyres.. ( as part of the team )

Bottom line is you do as you see fit and I will do as I see fit. simples..
After all, it is one of the reasons we are bikers.. we do things our way and fuck everyone else @tu*

You obviously have a bit of history there :violin: perhaps a luxury most don't have. Either way 42/42 - 42/36 as you say its our own choice.

I ran BT023s 42/36 and found them to be faultless, however cos I'm me I'm now toying with the idea of Dunplop RS2s as my next choice, just waiting for a few sensible non bias (as possible) reviews.
