Only this week I made a pair of bar ends for the project bike ( and from that you will gather how close it is to being finished :) )
Last week it was a pair of footpegs for a yam, and a couple of hid spacers ;)

I do spend a fair amount of time standing in front of the things :p

I really needed a bench press type drill a few weeks ago........

And I have always wanted a lathe.

Not as much as a CNC cutting machine though!

That's a nice piece of kit.
Without sounding like a numpty, how does the drill work?
Are you able to lock the movement of the lathe chuck?

Its primary use is as a mill head, though it is used as drill press too
You lock the work on the cross slide.
You can also get a variable height riser for the slide.

I cannot answer about locking the chuck but I would think so.. Even my old ML7 has that facility

I do not get the new one until circa the 18th of this month.
By agreeing to wait I got a fair chunk of moola off, plus free delivery

My lathe was my late father-in-laws. He got it at an engineering show in the 1920's. He insisted that he wanted the one from the show as he knew that they would have checked and taken a very accurate one to demo on. Only problem is that the screw cutting is all imperial.
