I take delivery of my second BB on Monday - a 1997 in titanium and I cannot wait.

My previous Bird was a fuel injected beast in black which I absolutely adored. However, the reason I sold her was because my fianc?e was uncomfortable on trips and kept sliding into the back of me - so I reluctantly decided to sell her and look for something a little more supportive in the seating department such as a BMW RT. Well I looked and I looked and NOTHING came close to the BB so I went BB shopping again and told my fianc?e that she can either come as a pillion or stay at home - I may even through in some oxford grab handles for her!

Anyway the reason I am writing this post is that it is my first carbed BB and wondered if there will be any noticeable differences between the F1 and the carbed bike that I need to be aware of or will notice whilst riding?

Also, I had a bagster tank bag for my last BB in black but I cannot for the life of me find a beige/brown coloured one anywhere or on any website. This is despite the fact that I have seen Titanium bikes with them on in the past. Not sure if it is from a different bike with same size tank but I am stumped and wondered if any of you guys or gals can help me solve this mystery. I will also be happy to pay the going rate if anyone is selling one.

Thank you fellow BB owners @tu*

I've a carby & an FI and the only differences I've noticed are

1) Fuel consumption on the Carby is a bit better on my normal commute but on runs both drink about the same amount
2) The FI has a little more punch at tripple digit speeds

As for your young lady switch to a melboy seat , not only weill she like it so will you :)

If it was a black carb one I would have to tell you that its gonna scare the living beejesus out of you! But as its a slow tvatanium carb then it will be about the same as yer black injection one :-0)

This forum is class. The good looking Bird to which I was referring is my Beige Beauty of a BB rather than my missus :bang: Sorry for the confusion. I will definitely be riding her a lot more often anyway ;-0))

Cheers for the link - will check it out. I presume you have used them before and were happy with the results??

custom seats

Also consider Marty at Smartrrrrs seats for reprofiled and improved seats. Fantastic job, I have had 2 made for me both with medical gel inserts front and rear that improve comfort hugely over standard. He can do anything that you want basically, not cheap but worth it
