A pair of avon storms fitted to bike cost me ?186 all in , and now ive done a few
hundred miles on them, i feel safe enough to remove the stabilisers .. feel much more secure than bridgestones imo

Another convert !

Just saying hello as I just bought my 1st 'Bird'. I've been on the vfr forum for 18months as 'scotsy' so I'll keep my username the same to avoid confusion!!

I sold my VTEC last October for another Rsv Mille (R) and It was a cracking bike but was seduced by a Busa of a mates. I agreed to buy and put my mille on ebay, sold it last Friday evening got the cash Sat morning and waved goodbye to my P&J, texted the busa owner to say i was coming down with the cash and he texted back "sold the busa last night" and then turned his phone off all weekend TW%T :bang:

My workmate who you'll know as 'rob n/west' on the forum has persuaded me to try a blackbird, so I've gone and bought a Blue '99 T reg Fi with full luggage, heated grips and DB screen (as well as HISS it has a Cat 1 alarm and is datatagged)

At 5'8" tall I've always thought that it was a 'fair old stretch' to the bars and that the footrests are a bit 'high' in relation to the seat, but rob assures me that i'll get used to this after a few rides. I bought some 'bar risers' for the 'Vtec' so no doubt I'll be looking for something similar for the 'bird', any Ideas???

I'll be joining in with the banter as soon as the 'piss taking' starts man8um

See you soon

Ian
