My New Toy

Well here she is.

Yep I know its a Blade and not a Bird, but after 5 faithfull years on a Bird which I have enjoyed, I now feel its time for a change and since the opportunity came along, I thought I do it.

So this will be the bike you'll see me on next year when my legs healed. (note the crutch against the wall in pic 2, LOL).

Okay Lumpy, I'll feck off to the other Forum now (do I really have to go :B )

Thats why it was so cheap, a couple of panels had to be replaced, but its only done 6,800 miles.

Nope, sorry officer...its got one of those tail tidy's on it. I have got the original tail unit but who cares eh? :dunno:

Yep, got full docs and service book, its a straight bike. I've set all the suspension back to standard and am just looking forward riding it now.

Have you watched Rossi get off his bike, well thats how I have to do it just now.
To get on I have to stand on my bad leg and very gradually swing my good leg over (I stand on the right hand side of the bike) as I cant lift my bad leg high enough to get it over the seat.

However, to get off, I lean way back over the pillion seat and swing my good leg over the screen - just like my mate Rossi.:bow:

Hurts like fook to get on and off but it has to be done. The problem is I cant get my right foot up onto the peg at the mo, just cant bend my knee enough, but I'll get there in the end, one way or another, wheres theres a will there's a way.

nice bike mate , so now you have got a real bike it may take you some time to get use to all that power so take it slow . you should have no trouble doing wheelies on this enjoy

Bit of a place mat you got on the back there tho just for 02, think you better get that cut down to size...lol

I tried a new blade and didnt like it as the power band has been spread thro the revs now and made it very boring....old blades still rock and i would have another.....good for you!
