seems downloading music is they way its all gonna be in a few years..have a look at itunes.com has everything and a bit more you could ever want
even tescos website you can download albums on now
also not long now before hard drives go the same way as the 8 track tapes!
tiny usb storage cards now are taking up to 5gb  another 5 years and they will up to silly figures so the good old hard drive with its motor, bearings, moving arm etc will be well gone, water coolings now in for taking away heat from components and ic's etc although you still need a radiator and cooling fan at somepoint so cool the cooling liquid..few more years and that will be done by electronic components once the technology gets better..and my point is....

well there aint a point, just thought id type it
however..remember watching films years ago such as bladerunner, old star treks, in fact any older type sci-fi and looking at things and thinking wow if only you could do that or wow if that was real etc.....well a lot of those things are coming true now..controled state is one bad examle lol cctv, www, online this, online that..ferk me i remember years back when mobile phones first came out and i was in that trade trying to get a pizza deliverd to a mates gaff we were round who had just moved in and didnt have a phone line yet...trying to convince the pizza guy it was a real phone number and trying to explain about mobile phones etc,,,we didnt get the pizza in the end..lol, bet he thinks back and remembers it too
so as i was waffling..all these older films seem to be coming true in these days..so where will it all end? what films now seem to far fetched to us as bladerunner did then?..matrix?is one example and there are loads others ....you just dont know do you %$fan
in fact a lot of older sci-fi programes or films with at the time unbelevable technology we have passed that stage already %$fan
worth a thought anyway

Yes and..

Have you noticed that the greatest advances in technology have been in the past 30 years.

The first calculator took up the size of a small office, now they are on wristwatches.

Now theres been incredible advances in the motor industry, medicine, aviation (forget the rail network who seem to have got lost in a time warp -tossers), computers - plasma screens etc etc, the list goes on.

We have witnessed the greatest revolution in techno time than in any other period in history.

Talking about advances in technology - When visiting Florida during 2001, we stopped off at the Kennedy Space Center - the astronaut, Bill Duke, gave a lecture about going to the moon.

He said that the RAM on all the computers (put together) that took them to the moon totalled 1 mb!

I wouldn't have thought it would even take 1mb to get to area 51, coz they never went to the moon.

good looking AND modest
two main reasons for such fast advances, (1) war, (2) space development, so one side has an advantage when "war ing" :dunno:
