As Andy said.....we're having a nightmare with the new house so just haven't had a chance to get on the Forum. If it could go wrong it has gone wrong and our initial budget for the renovations ran out last week. :cry:

We were playing with a few names for the house as Trace wants to stick a name-plate outside (most in the area seem to have a name), I've now decided that "Titanic" is the most apt......the bloody place has taken on more water than the sinking ship ever did due to the four floods we've had so far!!!
The plumbing has been a disaster, had to re-wire three of the rooms and replace the consumer unit, the staircase and landings have had to be re-built, all the floors have needed replacing......we are now in the process of taking legal action against our surveyor.

Added to this.....Trace's car decided to play up, so that was a day of spannering to sort out....we're having grief with AOL and BT trying to sort out a broadband connection (so at the mo it's poxy dial-up for us).....my garage is still piled up with boxes from the move (the bike is somewhere at the back, I think)...... so all in all.......we're a bit pee'd off !!!!! :cry:

Thanks Simon....really appreciate the offer. We're getting there slow but sure and have been fortunate in finding some tradesmen living in the village that don't rip us off and turn in some quality work. I'm OK with most DIY jobs but won't touch gas fitting or anything to do with water (plumbing is NOT my forte) !!!!

Most of the local blokes we've used are fitting in our jobs at weekends and evenings so although progress is slow, it is getting there. Once the heavy building stuff is complete I'll invite you over (bring your overalls and a paintbrush) !!!!! :beer:
