went with them last year as they were the cheapest by a long way.
Yesterday I decided to check when my renewal is due as I’ve not had any reminders, runs out at midnight tonight,
I went onto go compare & organised my insurance through Bennets, going to ring mce today & make sure they don’t think I’m sticking with them.

Dropped MCE & went with Bennett's after MCE put my compulsory excess up to £800. Lucky really as I wrote the Bird offing June. Bennett's excess was £200 & premium £40 cheaper too.

Phoned them this morning & they put me through to rescue services, phoned again & eventually got through to some type of humanoid who was programmed to lose interest once I said that I had taken a policy with another company & wanted my ncb proof, he directed my call to another department (probably the lass sat next to him) she took twelve minutes to finish filing her nails & waiting for the polish to dry before she answered, says she’ll email confirmation tomorrow.

MCE definately does auto renew and if you have online banking you can cancel this there or go into your branch and cancel it. I found they were always the cheapest, almost always had one of the highest excess's and one of the worst customer services.

Other than that they are ok.

Just been to say a pal who was horrified to find that his parents in Hull have just paid £530 ish to renew their holiday se insurance with Halifax. He called them and challenged and they reduced it to £104.

His dad said they have stayed with Halifax for 20 odd years as they have been excellent. He has never made a claim. We can only assume that by 'excellent' he means they collect the premium by dd without fail every year.

I always refuse the auto-renew option as it requires them to store your card details.
Just done 2 of my insurances and always ask for confirmation that they have removed it.

My mother had a similar problem with her old fiesta, she mentioned that her insurance with Zurich was close to £800 a year, I went up the wall on hearing this, she kept insisting that was the going rate as she had been a "faithful" customer for years and was sure that they wouldn't rip her off, as I was driving past a Swintons, stopped and dragged her into the shop, "literally" and asked the bloke for a quote, it came back as just over a £100, needless to say, she was amazed that a company she had been with for years would rob her so blatantly.

Andrew, you have to stop this. You don't have any pals!

Back at the ranch, I've been with Bikesure for quite a few years and they're generally quite good. They were the cheapest to insure my Panzers by a decent margin.

Interestingly, there's a bunch of twats on the GS forum, The Bike Insurer, that claim "The cheapest prices, guaranteed". Couldn't beat my quote with Bikeusre and when I called them out on their claim, the silence was deafening.

By the way, if you need tyres replacing on the car ffs don't go to the main dealer. They were supposed to do one of my rears a few weeks ago but they ordered a front instead. Kwikfit were £120 cheaper.

Unless they are insured of course, then get them done anywhere!!:)

Wrong!

Mine ran out on 25 September!!

:jaja-no:
In that case, I'd order the tyres at Black Circles and have them fitted at your main dealer. They'd be more inclined to look after your wheels and not take lumps out of them.
