Thanks Rolfy
I don't need anything to start me off. Well not initially. It's the 3rd time in as many hours when "I " feel a headache coming on.
Wives can't expect it "just like that". It doesn't give you time to think of anybody.

(quote) Legend has it that there is a strange mad woman that lurks in laybys and spies on bikers (unquote)

I don't know really whether to be pleased or insulted - I suppose it might be pretty flattering to be thought of as a Legend - except you usually have to be dead first, don't you? (trampled by a herd of marauding Wildebeest whilst out on a bike ride, perhaps?) but the rest of it might be too near the truth for comfort .........

Anyway typical of blokes to organise a 'comfort break' in the only layby in Wales without a tree for us to 'go' behind; and that photograph just goes to prove that Debs and I were ideed very wise to go and find alternative - and slightly more private - facilities!

Thanks from us both for a smashing weekend Dave & Jan - for organising it and your hospitality. Thanks to everyone for their company, humour and friendship, see you all again soon.

Jenny & Pete

Still kickin' it!
Due to circumstances.....

...I guess we missed some of the fun....:B

...But there's some LOVE-ly scenery when you use the Toll Road - and it only costs a quid....:p

....Balance that against the fact that you're goin' in com-PLETELY the wrong fookin' direction... but it's STILL gotta be good value for money...

....Eh, Roxxo?

Eric, I even got lost in the hotel!

Great traffic free road that M6 toll, the only thing that passed me was a mini cooper, closely followed by one of those funny coloured volvo estates with flashing lights and what sounded like a slipping fan belt. He must have been friends with the mini driver cos further up the road they'd stopped for a chat.
I asked at the toll booth if I was going in the right direction for Kidderminster. I didn't catch his full reply due to his funny accent but I think I made out "Carlisle " and "phooking Knobhead".

Charming!

Somewhere in Wales - The layby just after the bridge at Cwmbach (or it might be the one on the left between Llandod & Builth
Llandrindod Wets - Station Crescent by JO Davies (Spar) opposite the Post Office
Lorraine says - Bites cafe next door to The Hampton (pub)

Duh, what you doin in a cafe when there's a pub next door? Oh yeah, it was the Hampton, 'nuf said, glass on the floor etc.

Sounds like we share similar, "absolutely crap" navigational skills, Paul! I've found me soul-mate at last!! :yo:

(Remember...to be unique....is to be ALONE!)

We'll have to meet up to swap "lost" stories over a beer or two, and we could.....

You obviously know that part of the planet very well.

We started off in a bar in the Hampton, then went through numerous doors to rooms that got progressively worse!

You wiped your feet on your way out.

Yup, that's the Hampton we all know and errr....:h

So you never found the Llanerch then? We were going to take a run up there and give you the guided tour of the highlights (doesn't take long) but other committments got in the way. Bugger, bugger, bugger. :bang:
