Luggage

It's been a while since I've been on here but now I'm back I've got a question about hard luggage.
I don't intend to use it for holidays, but when commuting it would be handy to have a top box on instead of struggling with the bloody havabag ony my back. Ive already got a Givi Monorack, but the Givi Luggage is way expensive. I've found a Kappa top box which looks good enough and is half the price of the same size Givi, but have you guys got any experience with them, i.e. are they any good ??
Although I aint using the Blacky during the winter, I am using my little Tiger which I'll be swapping the box over with, so any comments about the kappa Hard Luggage would be welcome.
Cheers

Kappa, absolutely no problem with it at all some of them are exactly the same only half the price. I use the little 21 litre side boxes, but a maxia top coz its the biggest I can find. I have a cappa rack and am changing it coz its plastic and wobbles but boxes are great.

Kappa & Givi

As Rhino say, they are both made in the same place... The only difference is the fitting lugs for the boxes....

Givi will fit on Kappa, but a Kappa box will rattle around on the givi fittings...

Trophychap & I know, as we have tried them... Trophy has Givi, & I have Kappa.....

Nothing wrong with Kappa at all. Its just the budget range really from Givi...Mine has never leaked at all in 5 years of owning them.

If it's of any interest, I have a complete Kappa wingrack for sale c/w indicators & bird fitting kit..Looking for about ?70...... Just PM me if intersted..

Best wishes,

Rolfy

Kappa and Givi are same company [so I'm told] in Italy and have factories on same street [forget city - Alzheimer's!].

I've Kappa - cheap and cheerful - who was it who was doing a rack mod for ?25? Plastic rack wobbles but 18 months of s/h kit and all's well.

Main problem is elasticated 'restraint' inside box tends to snap lugs and is therefore shite %$fan else OK. IMHO
