Think they may have got his date of Birth a little wrong. 1905!
You know why? I inadvertently copied the link from his fathers obituary, just noticed the date of publication as 1 July 1992.

As for the monkeys.....they were big into spare parts for cars.
Apparently in the days of the original mini holiday makers on visit had the boot opened by a monkey. He then I'm sure with help, proceeded to pull out all their belongings while sitting on the flap down boot lid.
