Just done a service on Stans bird,and after reading the threads on here of the probs with the 99 fi block connector under the battery thought it best to have a little looky.
Low and behold despite it being quite well insulated there was orible green stuff on 3 of the wires,and one which snapped off at the connector as it was moved.
A few mins with the soldering iron got it all sorted.
He's had no probs with the bike but looking at the thing it was breakdown waiting to happen.

yes i'm afraid to say it,but it did look gunjy[sp]under all that tape...mind you never seen anyone cut wires witha chainsaw before :}
