Pixie tried out a couple of insurance websites last night,and gave up having to type details,choose options..etc.Tonight (7.45 this evening) direct choice (one of the insurance companies of the websites pixie was getting annoyed with) rang up.They said the details pixie had put on the website were incomplete,would a human to human quote be better,yes please!!.
They asked about our best quote so far,which broker,which policy and how much.Pixie told them,Carole nash,red star and about ?350 (actually ?388 but they dont know that).They came back with fully comp for bird and z400 for ?317,not bad for me (a mere 35 years old).
I usually go TPFT on my bikes,but the Bird is the most expensive bike I've owned and could never replace it if it got totalled or badly damaged (im a poor person :B ).

I do have full ncd though and am 34

I did try Norwich Union for a comparison and the robbing bastards wanted ?1800
and ?750 excess:} told them I was looking to insure the bike and not buy it from them and promptly hung up.
Well worth shopping around. time spent filling out all those quotes on line could well save you a few quid.
