if you lobbed off say 1/3rd of the lenght of your can, and seal the end cap back on, would the bike be louder or quieter????

the note would change i know, but louder or quieter what say you????

depends what's inside it Wolfie....

if it is a race type can which are virtually straight through with a token perf tube and e-glass packing then won't make a fat lot of difference to the measured dB level...

If it is an absorbtion type silencer, fully road legal, then will make a fair difference....

good looking AND modest
they would completly fek the bike if used with hi lift link pipes, so to stop such a "calamity" you should send the link pipes to me!! :dunno:
and that Wilf is the "long and short" of it!!

Don't do it.

It would look stupid, and it makes it sounds louder and a bit more tinny in my opinion

They'll sound louder, better, look better and will pop & burble a lot more as you blip the throttle on down changes - which IMHO rocks :yo:

you sneaky techno boff Lumps !!!!

you going fishing per chance ?? :dunno:

All depends what bike Wolfster is running, carb/inj, what state the fuelling was in before the mod as to what effects it has....standard air filter...depends on all sorts...it may run sweet as a nut, might run like a bag of poo....

As it's a race can the perf tube doesn't do a fat lot to absorb noise so reducing it's length won't make a fat lot of difference...will make a huge difference tonally but not to overall noise level.

The back pressure of the race cans will be reduced significantly from the standard ones but reducing the race can length won't make a huge difference compared to it's original length.....

IMHO of course.....
