I believe that honesty is the best policy, & if you bring a child up believing that everything is wonderful then you are not being honest, a few minor shocks on the way makes the child realise that not everything is as nice as others would have you believe. you can tell someone something over & over again without them learning but once they experience something they realise you are telling the truth.
prepare your children well & they will love & respect you. hide them from the facts & they will mistrust you.

I know this is getting a bit deep but let's face it the kid in the video is going to take a hell of a lot of stick over the years if he doesn't wise up a bit.

You are missing the point.

My point has nothing to do with the actual "trick". Yes we have all done the same and had the same done to us. No problem with that.

My point is that the lad is obviously very, very distressed and the video was posted because some find the boys upset funny.

I don't think there is anything remotely funny about watching a child have the screaming abdabs.
How somebody can derive pleasure from watching a child in such a state is beyond me.

It's not about learning lessons or bringing up kids.

It's about mature adults thinking that it's funny seeing a child in such a state of terror.

It's not funny it's sick.
