I tried to upgrade my 02 digital dash to LED. The only bulbs you can change are the ones for the rev counter the others are, I think, set in the LCD pannels as backlights. I tried white and blue LEDs from the custom tart section in Halfords and they were rubbish. I eventually settled on some normal 2.3 watt teeny weeny bulbs (T5) that were brighter than the originals. Not sure if my R/R will cope with the extra 2.6w demand!!

Have just done mine ( 1997 BB ) - very impressed with the difference.

Tried the LED's on a 12v battery before installing them and despite them looking very white when tested - the dash is a nice shade of blue now they are installed.

I assume there is some sort of blue filter in the dash because the redline area in the tacho is still lit in white.

I got some T10's the other day from an Auto electrical place called Jaycar that specialises in stuff for the young guys who do up their "Ricer" cars with LED's/coloured lights etc, cost me $1.95 AUD each so I got some white and some blue ones to try out :dunno:
Had a look in a couple of normal "Auto parts stores" and they wanted up to $16 a pair

Just got to fit them now ;-0))

Nice price. I thought mine were cheap at ?1.99 GBP each

I think the blue ones will make the dash too blue - white led's show up a nice easy to read blue.

One of the longest parts about fitting is doing each bulb twice !!- haha
Maybe I was just unlucky - but every led I fitted had to be removed again and rotated 180? in the holder to work. (yes i know they are polarised !)

But it will be an illuminating post!

after fitting my led's in the dash i have noticed that one of them has gone out. since the bulb that was there was knacked i thought it was just the bulb, but i think it will be the holder for the bulb now. will have to check the other holders to make sure that the contacts are making full contact with the back of the dash.

PS still cant get that dam clip of the main beam - help
