L/R Brake link pipe

Hi, I'm after some advice re brake pipes on my 2005 'bird. I'm having braided hoses fitted, but keeping the linked brakes in place. One issue has come up, where my mechanic has had to use a blowtorch to free the pipes and hose connectors as they were seized solid, the 2 metal link pipes which run above the front guard leak and need replacing. I've spoken to David Silvers and they are ?9 each from them, but they do not have them in stock so are getting them in. Fingers crossed by end of next week as I'm off on holiday on the bike, well planned anyway!! Spoke to new Honda dealer in Chi, they said they'd be surprised if anyone ordered them from them, as they are ?31 and ?51 respectively. (Why extra ?20 for the half an inch longer one I don't know!) Anyway, they would need to order in special anyway, so that's not an option anyway, and I'd rather get a whole setup off the bay than pay that. So my question finally is: does anyone know a supplier or someone who can just make them up? I'd rather have a spare set to get rid of then none and can't use the bike for hold. All the best, newbie to this site, Whitebird. Aka Martin

Many owners dont bother with the "over the guard" system when fitting braided hoses.

The popular way is to have two lines directly from the mater cylinder to the calipers.

Awesome!

Thanks for putting me onto Taffy Silverfox.xx and what a gentleman he is!

David Silvers supplier would have to get them from Japan and ETA was end of June!

Made contact via forum with Taffy, spoke to him today, he's going to post me a set down.. and didn't want anything in return! Amazing :)
