w;;v Just wondering if anyone knows of a decent pair of knee sliders that last more than 2 mins?? I've tried various different sliders and have yet to find one that does not get so hot you can feel the heat through the leathers on long bends or that lasts more than a couple of weeks?? Currently using the motrax sparkies with titanium rods through but found them to be very dissapointing as i have only ridden the bike twice and they're about done already  A mate said the whakiplaki ones are good?? Any info would be appreciated :yo:

Kin hell, they dont last long do they!!

The pair I have on came with the suit, Frank Thomas, and they are still as good as new, 3 years later.

Mind you they've never been anywhere near tarmac.

Try leather ones... Feel weird to start with and they make hardly any noise compaired to others ( which is also bloody weird to start with ! ) but they do not transmit heat through them much..

Leather ones last longet and give more feel than placky, but they are more expensive. I've got 'em from Hideout leathers in the past.
The other thing about leather is that do have a tendancy to drag when new.
I was at Brands yesterday doing a track and almost put a whole in my suit at Clearways at the knee before realising that I'd lost the slider at the previous corner

sliders that came with my 1 piecer have stood up well to some abuse.....they have pretty much had it now and are pretty thin to start with but don't wear out too badly.......

 Cheers for the info folks. I was looking at the leather ones on the last trip to demon-tweeks where i usually buy that sort of gear. I just could not understand how leather could slide, Christ if my knee touches the floor above the slider it has a serious adverse affect as to how i exit the bend c7u8 Ha Ha

Might give the leather ones a go and see how i get on. Costing me a fortune in sliders at the mo.

dunno if your post it track related or not, but (apologies if you already know this) titanium sliders (either knee or toe) are not allowed on track & track offiicials won't hesitate to make you remove 'em.
Having said that fella, why would ya knee be on the floor when EXITING a bend? Surely you'd be getting the bike as upright as possible to get on the gas as quick as possible unlike some numpty I know who almost managed to high-side coming out of Druids yesterday  'cos he hadn't woken up*/got used the new increased power of his engine*/was being a lazy twat*/being over confident* (*delete as appropriate  )

My Dainesse ones are fooked so Suz bought me a pair of Motrax ones for my birthday theyz got them titanium rods that make lol sparks but feel rough as fook when they touch down
they do seem tougher than the old ones which got worn down very quickly
they are also the right colour fast ones blue
