heard that as well, also heard at 10.00am this morning that there was 2-3 inches in canterbury.

but also got told that they have only rain all day??? :dunno: :dunno:

the driver is our old boy and he will crash have a heartattack or fook up and end up doing nothing if the snow is more than 2 inches deep.

Wolfie, it has been very localised, Chatham and Maidstone getting hit worst, with the major routes around that closed for a while today, M2/ M20/ A 249/ Bluebell Hill etc, turn to sleet and rain this afternoon, but roads still fairly bad, but all open and moving now.

Surrounding areas such as Canterbury and Tunbridge Wells had some disruption but not too much, Dover/Folkstone nothing at all, nor Dartford.

Weather is border line on more snow or rain, seems heavy snow 'could' be just in localised pockets, will post later if I hear any more.

The latest from www.metcheck.com

South-east England

Moderate to heavy snowfall that has been falling over Southeastern parts of the UK and of which has brought about some significant snowfall totals, will continue to be a problem into the overnight period and into Thursday morning. Further totals of upto 5cm generally are expected, especially out of the urban areas, however some places could see upto 10cm of further snowfall. As winds continue to increase across the far Southeast of England especially drifting and blowing snowfall will also become a problem into the overnight period, especially over higher ground. Further travel disruption is expected.
