just read that some prisoners may be released early because of the virus outbreak, not sure of the sense in that ? surely a prison would be a great breeding ground corvid 19 ?

What does our resident expert have to say ? Many cases within the population? Is it true? Thoughts?

In our particular establishment we have a lot of elderly Prisoners, one actually in his 90’s I fully expect there to be a lot of deaths once it takes hold in Prison, I can see the Prison authorities releasing some elderly Prisoners so they can relinquish responsibility for them, I can also see some Cat D prisoners & civil Prisoners being released early

Can't say i have any sympathy whatsoever..once a crim and all that.
If the brain dead feckers can't work out their own future like the majority of us do.
Then they would'nt be serving time in the first place.

I have no problem with some of those banged up to be released early, such as the non-violent and those that couldn't pose a danger to society if they tried. However, murderers, drug dealers, nonces, gang members, terrorists, drunk/dangerous drivers, thieves etc. can stay there and f'ing rot.

I agree to an extent but I was thinking more of loads of folk locked up in close proximity could be a good breeding ground for the virus & if some were released now they could easily spread it to family & friends that might otherwise not get infected

Remember a lot of these guys & girls have little or no regard for the law so are unlikely to take a lot of notice of the lockdown, that would give the police more to do while putting themselves at even more risk

Far better to leave them where they are & release none for the moment imo, I know it puts DK & his fellow prison officers at risk but don't see it being any higher than it is already
