just done a gippo weekend again

down to ramsgate in the van with me dad and my two kids.

Dover castle was the bollox, we spent nearly seven hrs in there and it worth every minute and penny, My kids feckin loved in, went down the tunnels (which are 3.8Miles long!!!!) brillant place to visit.

Ramsgate is on the up!!! shits loads of posh boat things in the harbour, best fish and chips ever from a place called Pete fish cafe or something like that is just off the harbour, west cliffs were very clean and tidy, no rude boys and their stupid cars , just people enjoying the views and a walk.

excellent weekend in all.

Glad you did Andy, meanwhile I've been mostly working and arguing with my business partner...Piece of advice: if you go into business avoid having a business partner, especially if he is a pompous arrogant know it all/know nothing full of himself slapface twat. I've been very good and avoided harming him and think I deserve a round of applause for being so well behaved as it doesn't come naturally to me

Sounds like a top weekend M8 !!! I've been meaning to visit Dover Castle for years...just never got around to it. I'll pull me finger out now and put it on my 'must do' list.

Ramsgate, hey ??? Always had it marked down as a 'heavens waiting room' type of place and have gone into Margate if I've been on that bit of coast. Margate is now all beano's and puking outside the pubs.....so will give Ramsgate a go next time I'm down that way. :beer:

Dover tunnels, yep a fantastic place, and only a small part of them is open to the public, there are many more that will never be made available to the public. A policeman (retired) friend of mine used to be in charge at Dover and has told me some of the secrets in the tunnels, that there is an entrance elsewhere hiddem but could be opened if needed, also that secreted in some tunnels are old WW2 trucks etc that any collector would die for, and as far as I know are in good order. Cant say any more

Margate has died! since the closure of the Dreamland park no one visits, plus it is full of Illegals dossing in all the guest houses.

Ramsgate is regenerating, and is not visited enough by the local people IMHO, now that Manston airport is allowed to fly commercial jets (EUJets) all over Europe (cheap as well, worth looking at if going abroad) the area should start to improve.
