hhhmmmmm

the forks had moved up in the yokes (5mm one side, 8mm on the other)

the pinch bolts for the bottom yoke under the fairing were just nipped, a little bit tighter than finger tight, the top yokes were half of what they should be, one handle pinch bolt was finger tight just, the axle bolt about 1/3 of what it should off been.

the forks had twisted themselves in the yokes, brake capliers were nipped up on both sides.

still no word from KEITH!!! can not trust anything is right now so am going have to strip everything down and put back together.

forks straightned, bolts tighten,

happy bunny,

except i am not sure about the height of the forks, trying them at 15mm through the yokes, think it may be a bit too much.

Blu no gremlins in my phoo phoo value , nice and regular, no sticking action no need for grease either as it is a one way valve, out only.

turns out keith read Nm and set wrench to lbsft or so he says but that does not explain the finger tight bolts.

Glad you got it sorted m8
Standard fork protrusion is 39mm measered from the top of the yoke to the top of the fork leg not the cap bolt but the leg itself.
mines at 47mm and a 6mm rear spacer + ohlins shock,fork springs.
Works well for me.

mine are at 54mm at the moment but have only done a miles like that, doesn't quite feel ok, but it might do with a few more miles. After my body and brain start to remember i am on the bird and not the cx.

took me spacer off and threw it away middle of last year, got a bit parnoid about threads stripping and studs bending etc etc.

might bring them back in to 49mm but will give it some mileage first as it is and just gently tweak it as i go.

Last year I set mine at 50mm just to see what it was like the bike turned quicker but at the price of stability when cranked over it would wobble weave and I even had a few mild tank slaps
I put it back to 47mm and all was well.
