Resistance is futile! :p
Not really. If one doesn't collect reward points then there's no need to be loyal to any particular store; vote with yer wallet and piss off to Aldi (y)

My mate in Wales had an unfortunate data protection incident with his Sainsbury's loyalty card......being diabetic as well as a fat got he was supposed to be on a strict diet....little did he realise that buying multi packs of Mars Bars every day while he was at work would lead to them appearing as number one in 'most frequently purchased items' when his good lady went to do the online shopping.

Busted!!

If the app becomes a legal requirement or is pre loaded on every new phone the solution is bin the phone & that's exactly what I will be doing if I need to.

Don't need it don't particularly want it & can get on well enough without it, I say 'ello or write a text on my phone & that's it, the thing is nothing more than a tool I can live without.

I think I still have a number of non-smart phones kicking around somewhere. All they do is text & make/take phone calls. Maybe I'll make a killing selling them on ebay. I'll save you one slim63.

How can this be a legal requirement?
Not everyone has a mobile phone or a media device to download the bogus app.
What about your privacy?
As I mentioned in an earlier post, one nation, Japan I think? tried this and only 20% of said nation downloaded the app.

I'd be very surprised if it was Japan; very compliant people with what the government wants.

Globally, human behaviour has been changed over the past few months

Likewise, the law.

We’ve done as we were told. We’ll do as we’re told. Simple...

It's the "New Normal" and I don't reckon this will ever end.
