as some of you know I've been the proud owner of a VERY poorly Bird for some time, well today I got the final piece of wiring soldered in place and connected some of the more "important" bits and bobs up, stuck on my "new" battery and my "new" reg rectifier, :bang: laid the dash over the forks, popped on the leads, stuck the key in the ignition and made sure the kill switch was on and lights/indicators were all off, took a deep breath and turned the key to on, dash lights lit  things "whirred" nothing "smelled" of burning  so I pressed the start button!!! EUREKA!!!! IT WORKS!!!! unfortunatly I discovered a couple more things had "blown" so yet another call on Jaws for "bits" in the next few days :dunno:
