How can it NOT be a sport?

You have to stand up.
Throw those huge, heavy projectiles, with accuracy, over a massive distance.
Usually bend down to pick them up off the floor.
Walk all the way to the board.
Heave the darts out of that round thing.
Then walk back to the 'chucking point'.

Have you seen how much liquid those athletes need to consume.

THAT is sport.

Darts and Snooker are both 'pub' games, both with the reputation of smoke filled rooms etc, snooker has a massive following with people like Steve 'interesting' Davies taking the Sports person title, darts never did get the followers that snooker seemed to get.

Yes it is a Sport, as it is competitive, I used to play for a Pub team (Boars Head, Northop Hall in Wales) and was asked to play for the County, had to turn it down as never had the time to practise as much as I needed to, and at that time I was playing every day....

Guess darts never took off as the players did all come across as pub louts, heavy drinkers and smokers, sweaty not the clean cut cut image that snooker pertrays on the telly..

I could go on............... bl4hbl4h
