Insurance..........car not bike

my car insurance is due towards the end of February and I have been shopping around on the net trying to get a decent quote.

BMW 318i, two door, 1989 model worth now probably ?900. Fully comp, 6years ncb with one other driver. Still they come up in excess of ?250!!!

I paid less for bike insurance and that was with having only 1year NCB, one other rider, and having a major insurance claim 4 years ago!!!! Bike was also worth more. Also have only been riding about 4 years. Car driver for too many years.............nearly 40 and female.........which does make a difference!!!!

Just doesn't seem to tally up. :B

We find direct line as very competetive we went with them as they were the cheapest for the van, and only slightly more than the cheapest for the car,
something very strange about insurance companies, on insuring my bike several brokers quoted Zenith but no two quotes were the same, there were differences of up to ?600, so just how much are the brokers raking in, even the Honda insurance that I have gone with is underwritten by Zenith,
