Inspiration Needed...........

I have decided to get a full custom paint job done on my bird.

I'm going to order some good quality, after market fairings for the bird and paint those, whilst keeping the original black fairings wrapped up (just in case I want to sell the bike later - not likely though!!)

But I'm fecked if I know what I want for a paint job!! :dunno:

I've seen so many programs on custom cars & bikes etc... (Orange County Choppers, Rides etc...) that I just don't know what to go for! I liked everything I saw and now am confukulated as to what to actually paint on my bird...??!!

Any ideas or suggestions.... pics perhaps??

How about a Rothmans GP bike paintjob - circa late 1980's (Doohan/ Gardner etc ) .....?? Surely nobody has THAT on a Blackbird... Don't know how to link pictures.... 8l1nd

I was thinking more along the lines of some serious air brush stuff...... not necessarily a race-style job with stickers and logo's etc...

But thanks for the suggestion... I'll keep it in mind.

Looking at the shape of the nose cone, turning the bike into a bird of prey is possibly on the cards ?

DreamMachine did a BlackBird with the 'ol Jaws mouth - like an old fighter plane.......good idea but it didn't really work

Just looking through some saved pics and found this.............love the deep green with yellow.....mmmmmm nice...........wouldn't advise you remove one of your front discs though!

That's the one Roxxo..............I feel my eyes being drawn to the bolder stars on the front guard instead of the teeth. Each to their own though.............LOVE the white wheels though

I have seen a similar one to that but the colours were black and silver it looked very impressive, I can't remember what bike it was though.

fantastic

i saw a bird at BSB at croft a couple of weeks back and it had been sprayed in that color that looks differant colors depending on where you are when you look at it nissan do it sort of purple ,green ,something to do with light refraction,anyway this bird looked really special.
May be worth considering

Can't help with the tekkie stuff..

But, If the headlight was made part of an OPEN mouth ( like with teeth at the top of the light, and the bottom set at the base of the light) would that look better.( like the light inside an open gob)
Anyone with drawing / puter skills able to 'draw' it?
