I had forgotten just how entertaining and funny it was

Still kickin' it!
Without a word of a lie, I’ve been searching for ages to find broadcasts of “Round the Horne”, and only after giving up the search did I come to find it (it must be 18 months since I last searched the BBC archives – it's a bit mad that it took a B.I.R.D post to prompt me to look again). In the early seventies I used to listen to the show when I was living in my flat, during my single days of booze, birds (females) and boogyin’ down at the disco (OH-yeah!). :p

One sketch that creased me up so badly that it hurt was based on the “speaking clock”; remember the posh lady who used to count down the time? “At the first stroke, it will be five, fifteen, precisely.” I’m really hoping that one will be re-visited! I’m also hoping that every series of Round the Horne will be repeated as I’ve missed the first three – Episode one of series 4 goes out 14 May, repeated at the times shown below. (y)

Remember it but not any episodes.

One I do, but not sure which show.
It would cause a war if it was broadcast now.
They used to have a two line informative quote. Then someone would ring in and make a "relevant" comment.
"African people have tight curly hair so that when they are running around in the bush their hair doesn't get caught in the branches "
Phone rings. "African" voice says
"Well then, why the hell am I living in Brixton"
I thought it was funny.
