I agree, but would you buy a bike unseen? It's a big leap of faith.

I did from a frequent poster on here. AND got on the train 220 miles to Wales  to collect AND rode home in the pouring rain and hail in February. Just have to accept that if there are faults it is tough titty.

Are you sure you are really determined to find a Bird?? There a literally tens of millions of them out there.

Wouldn't buy blind otherwise though.

If there are "literally tens of Millions" of these bikes out there, I see no point buying one that's 200 miles away that I can't see before I buy?

Looking at the weather this morning I'm not exactly in a rush anymore. I think bargains are to be had due to the financial climate and the weather.

So I can be picky now...@tu*

i bought mine of here found it as pablo said on the bird re-homing page spoke to Bosaldit who was selling it looked a few photos then arranged to go down there the next day (if your honest with them they will be with you, more so if from on here) any way was not a waste of journey 380 mile round trip and it was to norfolk way which was just endless journey rained all the way there with possibly the worst side winds i have ever felt while on the back of my dads bird but when i got there and saw the bird it did not matter how wet i was and even the journey home was in shit weather but in my mind its was a hot summer night nothing could put me down.
if you want a good one you will have to travel

not an XX-V as he states but looks okay. I gues sit's much better to get a bike delivered unseen than risk it and you have to travel.

Yeah I just had a look at 05 bikes. It seems these have the stick on raised "CBR XX" decals, this one has flat stickers?

He lost the service history too..makes me nervous..

it should I think. Summat smells. Maybe okay but anyone who looks after a bike doesn't lose documentation. See if he'll scan the V5 and send you. An XX-V is a 98 model too although pics of this definitely aren't.

Cheers Lumpy.

I need the service history. I know it can mean nowt, but it does when you come to sell the bike later. :yo:

There's a blue one on Edinburgh Gumtree(advertised 24/10). It's not mine and I don't know the seller but it's local to me which is why it caught my eye.

Mint bird

I have a mint 2001 bird 19k miles full givi luggage, jaws bar risers, clear front indicater's,fender extanders, melboy seat and fuel cans plus o/e cans. Only problem it is here in spain but I will be riding her back to the UK in the new year.
And judging the way you are I doubt if you will have brought one before then.
