I'm getting a bird

Hi Everyone, after many years of nagging my missus has decided I can have a BB (although clearly I am an Alpha male and wear the trousers in my house!!).
I am picking it up tomorrow, a 97 model with 24k on it.
Should sit nicely in my garage next to my GPZ1000RX that I've almost finished restoring.
Hopefully see some of you at events over the summer.

Hi, picked her up on Friday night and trailered her home. Bloody rain kept her on the garage until tonight. I managed to leave work an hour early and get home in time for a quick ride. Awesome, I am smitten.

Smix, yeah, I'm only up the road from you and I work in Wells from time to time, we'll have to catch up some time.

I've just returned to biking after a few years so I'm captain slow at the moment though!!

Don't worry about it mate, based on the amount of "SWMBO" and "I've got to get my pass stamped" quotes you'll see on this forum, you're not alone.
It's equality gone mongy if you ask me.
Enjoy the Barge but when you're done stick some pics up of the GPZ.

Took the bird to work today, much better than the usual trudge in the car. This is a fact......it is so fast I actually arrived at my desk a full half hour before I left home! During the course of a week I will get to have an extra night in bed!

This is expensive though, booked in for new tyres already!!

Artemis, ordinarily I would be happy to accept a sweet from you but I bet you make that offer to all the newbies. I just feel cheap now.

Got a whole day planned riding tomorrow, plan to find some GSXs and show them whose boss!man8um

maybe when its a bit nicer we could find a meet point between you, me and MLC and have a mini BIRD meet!!! There's one in Bath and at least one in Bristol, so could be a small meet if we get enough interest!!! :yo: :yo: :yo:

Smix, sounds like a plan, quick ride out with MLC sounds like a good idea. Had a day off today so took advantage of the unseasonaly pleasant weather (!!!) to scrub in my new tyres. 150 miles with no mobile phones and nobody knocking on the door of my office. Popped in to see a few mates and looked around a few dealers.
Why have been off my bike for five years? Mad.
