A bit late now for my advice - take a map of where the damn memba rally camping is because none of the f**king marshals knew! It took me 10 minutes to get to the showground from home. I followed signs for memba rally/bikes and ended up at day parking. The junction where the two split was not signposted and all 6 marshals stood at it said nothing to me entering with pannier, tent, rucksack and tankbag on Saturday morning at 9am.

Needless to say there were other cock-ups in the whole organisation of it and I'll be detailing all my gripes to the BMF. Grr mumble mumble.

The signage was a joke......the marshalls didn't know where to direct peeps to on Friday and it still wasn't sorted by today (Sunday) !!! The campers started arriving from 11-00am on Friday, gates were finally opened at 4-00pm, by then the traffic jam went out to the A1 !!!!!! The registration tent wasn't ready...no computer, the showguides were just being unloaded from a truck, the wristbands were being torn off of the sheets as you signed in !!!!

Overheard one biker telling a BMF official "Well....you can't be expected to get it right can you...you've only had a year to organize it" !!!!!! :} :}

After being directed by one marshal to a day visitor gate, I returned to him and overheard myself saying "Fuck off, I'm camping in here". I ended up in the 'quiet' field. BMF control told me there was a pedestrian gate to get into the main caping area, but I found it padlocked with a car leaning against it. I think it took me about 30 minutes after entering the showground to actually find a pitch.
