Next year,(August), I am hoping to take part in a ride in aid of a hospice for terminally ill children. The ride is from the UK to above the Arctic Circle. The route goes thru France, Belgium, across Germany into Denmark, into sweden and onto Norway riding up thru Narvik to Tromso. Then returning south to stavanger and ferry across to Newcastle then south to finish. 10 days to complete. Each rider who volunteers has to raise ?1000 sponsorship which will go to the Hospice. If anyone would care to sponsor me (However much) or has any idea's of companies that might be up for sponsoring please let me know. It's a long way off I know but I'm just sounding out the possibilities. Many thanks. :bow:

And while in Norway see if you get a chance to visit Hell.. Interesting place that !!

( I have relatives in Stevanga somewhere and a good friend from back in the days I rode customs lives near there too, his name, believe it or not is Finn Lund !

Hell is a nice little town, but the locals get really pissed off with tourists doing the whole "look at us in Hell" photo opp thing...

The hydrofoil service from Bergen to Stevanger is great, as is the slow freight/ferry/cruise up the coast from Bergen to Bodo (I can't do the "o"s with the line in the middle...). Watch out for large mammals in the many road tunnels (hitting a reindeer-like thing at 30mph is no joke) and be prepared to pay a week's wages for a beer. Tromso is...well, it's really far north, for a start. The wooden cathedral is spectacular (in a Viking longboat kind of a way). In fact, the whole country is spectacular and the people are really friendly, if a bit mad. I'm already dead envious. :bow:

If you wanna keep that for future use, copy it ( highlight it with the mouse and press Ctrl and C key ) .. open a word doc and press Ctrl and V ,, then save it as normal..
Orrrr..... You could just open up the windows character map and select it from there

Thanks Jaws will do, been to North Norway doin' arctic warfare stuff, Narvik, Tromso, Bardufoss, Harstadt, etc,etc, and many places of the map, I'll try again a little closer, but you know the saying, prior planning and preparation, prevents piss poor performance. Cheers. :bow:
