Well thing is, if you just write 'I love biking' some will read 'I love thrashing it in the twisties' or 'I love long distance touring' or 'I love the acceleration-buzz factor' or 'I love posing with my black mean machine' or... whatever! Me I love all of these so... conandrun!! What do I choose as a plate quote? :h

I meant ALL of it as a plate quote, ok so your plate will be size of Brittany ... :}

Yes I know you did - but for me, all what I said can be resumed in 'I love riding' as for others, it's just scratching on Sundays, or commuting, or long distance touring with scaffholding, or the sheer acceleration buzz or (rest of the list here) hence my comment... It's interesting to note that this thread has been read a bit more than 100 times with relatively few posts when posts about cars are read more... maybe people don't really enjoy riding but just touring/scratching/posing/accelerating? If I entitled it 'I love touring' or 'I love scratching' or (etc) would it had been read more? Not bothered, just curious :dunno:

For me

I cannot be arsed anymore with it.........eats my money, i get wet, hot, cold, impractical mostly, damn dangerous, addictive, and most of all rules my life.....NOT ANYMORE it won't.
I shall mint the bollocks off it over winter and advertise it come spring, fully serviced, gleaming and ready for its new owner. Good luck folks and ride safe.

I agree its not just about sunny sunday blasts. I went out to look at a new bike the other day, and it absolutely pissed down on the way back, but the ride was top fun. I tried to go for my last warp speed blast on the bb but had to cancel when the back wheel spun up under full bore at 85! It seems more of an achievement getting there safely in the wet.

Going by bike might be more impractical, and it takes ages to get kitted up, but bloody hell, its worth it!
