Thanks, Smix!

With any luck, I'll get a chance to take her for a spin tomorrow.

Nice looking Yammie, Roy! It sure looks much more comfortable than stock!

For an old bastid like me it certainly is!!

Ive done two trips to Germany clocking up 2500 miles in a week on both tours and will be doing the same again in May so Ive turned a sports bike into a real tourer with sports bike performance.

I also replaced the original seat with a Corbin saddle and had to mess around with the brake and clutch master reservoirs because of the new angle of the bars. I eventually fitted a FJR1300 clutch master and Fazer brake master with 4" over standard lengths for the hydraulic lines. It really was worth the expense and effort, I cant find any bike to replace it with.

Roy Rodgers ......

not feckin often you don't !!!!! but ....:wank:

but I have to concede that Roys' bike is a well engineered project, and he has never complained about any discomfort on the European trips we do.

Probably.
On the plus side...
I dont get back/neck ache.
I can fill my tank bag and my chin no longer rests on the top of it.
I can look round easier for the old life saver.
Im more in control when manoevering around at low speed.
My mirrors no longer vibrate like fook at over 70mph.
I ditched the scaffolding holding the mirrors on that I hated.

Minus side.
The cost!!!! still cheaper than changing the bike though!!!!

Great job

Well done Kirkster, it now looks really comfortable. I found fitting the LSL bars a chore so what you have achieved is remarkable. I hope your having better weather than we have here.

Thank you very much, hondated!

Unfortunately, it rained on my whole last break, so I didn't get to do much more than make motor sounds while sitting on the bike!

My wife made good use of the rain by prodding me to put down hard wood flooring in the house. Talk about killing yer back!!!
