WOW a Zenon Arc lamp for a headlight ! we use something similar at work for a light source. Mess with the wiring and get a real 23,000 volt belt ! Any one tried one yet ? What we need is for Jaws to get a free sample to try then provide a good write up on it. :yo:

Ride magazine - April edition

in their new bits section show a Philips Xenon kit for ?199.. but only covers H1,3 and H4 bulbs. There must be a way of converting them to H7 fittings.

The normal quote

...illegal then :t :dunno: Isn't there a maximum lumens value allowed by law, or is it purely wattage?

is 55watts of power. luminosity is never used otherwise you could never use any other colour output. Normally the greater the lumens the whiter the light........ at least I think it is.

I do, I do, I do have one! For reports click the links below, but basically, it transforms the darkest night into the brightest day, useful if you do a lot of night riding or ride in mountains...
Cost under ?200 from 1200Pete, fitted by him too, under an hour

this is the ones Pete gets (allegdly the best kit available)
http://www.hid-online.com/hidonline/applications/bikekits.htm

and finally explanation about colour temperature vs. brightness - basically, if you want to show off get the 6000K, if you want the strongest brightness get the 4100K
http://www.hid-online.com/hidonline/information/whatiscolourtemp.htm
Hope all that helps!
