Hello Guys and Galls.
New to the forum, having last week picked up a rather nice example of a 98 bird, with only 9k on the clock (seems genuine - FSH etc).
Couldn't convince the girly to go anywhere on the R1 (02) so thats been relegated to her mothers garage for track day fun. Only started them last year but loving 'em - Donnington park is the current favourite, but then have only don Mallory and Cadwell.
Been riding for about 17 years -all weathers none of that fair weather malarky ! Nothing worse than sitting in London traffic in a car for hours! Got a skipper 125 for the cra**y weather commutes.
A Paramedic for the London Ambulance Service for 15 years, on their Motorcycle Unit for 6 , now doing some 'Team Leading' tree huggy stuff with the occasional bike shift now and then. The bird feels a lot like the Pan, but with more knee room to the fairing, and a little 'taughter' (is that a word..it is now!)
Getting on for 40 with a couple of new hips to look after, so the bird is welcome relief from the Yam ! She came fitted with an after market tall screen, and have found it a bit turbulent on the torso at higher legal speeds (i'm 6ft). I've not had much time to play yet though, so will se how it goes.
Forum looks a great place and very friendly. Picked up some good tips already. Nice to see you have some good retail sources linked in as well - will be after hugger and a sample of some of that ACF-50 soon Jaws !
I too wanted one of those slow black ones but couldnt find a nice enough one for my meagre funds, so ended up with a Rapid Red (not pink) one :neenaw:
Looking forward to all the flack
Cheers all
