From what I understand, irrespective of whether you were riding defensively or not, was it reasonable to assume the vehicle in front of you was going to make a U-turn?

As you've said, there was no indication to suggest the driver was intending to turn right and the vehicle moved over to the left. If there was no right turn for the vehicle to turn in to, how in hell were you supposed to reasonably anticipate the vehicle turning?

Yeah I guess, hindsight is 20/20!

I'd suggest not getting hung up about your photocard.

I can't recall an occasion where an insurance claim required me to produce/provide it.

If it were me I also wouldn't delay putting the claim in.

If there was any damage to the car I'm sure he'll be putting in a claim.

Bear in mind, you want a replacement lid at today's prices. Not what was on the price tag when you bought it.
After my off last October, they tried to wiggle out of replacing my lid.
They finally agreed that it was a mandatory piece of safety equipment.
The arse'oles wouldn’t pay for my damaged phone even when I provided proof of repair & replacement.
They're all wankers.

I’m going to backtrack on this…..had a proper look at the Shoei last night and the linings have suffered in storage….I’ll see if they will clean up today. No idea if the linings can be replaced?…the shell is absolutely fine.

Yes sorry I’m being vague. I was behind the car at a set off lights, two lanes going straight on, our lane a right turn Lane traffic light controlled. He’s in front of me, at red light. So my light is right behind him to see if he looks in his mirror. Lights gone green we’ve moved off and turned right. He’s then veered left over a broken line and I’ve thought a) what’s he doing? then b) he’s moved over for me. I’ve not really sped up but I’m over about a metre from the right edge of my lane.
