My Bird recommends Sony 'Stamina' batteries for all her toys...............

Sorry Dave - seriously now, my Bird's original battery went after just over a year of ownership, I replaced it with a Yuasa battery that cost about ?45. I seem to recall that Yuasa batteries are standard fitment on Honda's??

Anyone?

unless the new blackbird takes a diffrent battery form the 99 model they are about ?62 quid(yuasa) cos i bought one a few months back and shopped about too, the cheaper ones start at about ?35
my battery drains down sometimes(winter) and it flat as a pancake when i go to start it..i think the yuasa brand can recover better from that condiction than the cheaper ones HTH

Will have to agree

Will have to agree with Gatso'shy, if you're getting warped plates it is cos the battery is being discharged or overcharged excessively. Best to sort out the cause of the problem, not just the effect! Else u will be buying a new battery every few weeks! Good luck :bang:

by the way

You may want to check if it is your reg/rec, as I have heard that if the bike is less than 5 years old, Honda U.K. may replace it under warranty. Take a look at http://www.v-four.freeserve.co.uk/vfr800.htm
A common problem with VFR, it would appear! Its about halfway down the page.
