Have you loaded any new virus protection software?

My daughter installed Zone Alarm Pro on my puter as a trial and all the smilies stopped working.

Just a thought.

Stan....Are you running through Internet Explorer ? Both Trace and me have been having bother with fonts changing size, pictures not appearing, graphics not moving etc. I thought it was something I'd done during my recent 'networking attempt'.

Phoned AOL and they told us there is a new update from Microsoft (Service Pack 6) that solves the problem.

Downloaded it....all working fine now !!!!! Worth a try M8 ????? :dunno:

Mine does the same at home.

You have to switch your banner ads off, I think it's in the programmes section of zonealarm.

I'm in work at the mo' so can't check for you,sorry.

I went back to the basic Zone Alarm when the trial period finished and all the smilies returned to normal

fire up Zone Alarm......click the FIREWALL tab (on the left) and then the ZONES tab along the top. Add this site to your list and make sure it is set as a 'Trusted sites'.

Then..... (take a deep breath).....click the MAIN tab (next to the ZOnes tab you just clicked) and where it says 'trusted zone security' with a little slider next to it, turn the slider to LOW. This will actually turn your firewall OFF, but ONLY when you are in a site that you trust (and that you have added to the list) :}

This should do it, but if it doesnt;

In the Internet Explorer (browser) window, click the tools option (from the top line) then Internet options. CLcik the Security tab and then the Trusted sites icon. Then click the Trusted site button and add the site to your trusted zone (You will need to UNCHECK the little blox which says 'require server verification....'

That should definitely do it .............
