Hi, I'm new to this site. I've just bought myself a Honda Blackbird as my Ducati was a bit fast for me and I wanted to do some touring.

I've got myself a nice one in that soft pinky-red colour as it matches my helmet nicely. My only real concern is just how heavy it is. Is there anyway you can make them lighter??

seems you've bought the wrong bike if you think the Ducrappi is fast M8,
it's only heavy when you ride like a wuss, or you could always go on a diet, I have :}

I'm a size 8 myself!! but that is in a wide fitting shoe!! :}
we have a few "lady" riders on here that couldnt be described as "large" I've no doubt they will pop up and say hello, also Tootieflutie is no "heavyweight" and from your area, :dunno: she also has a "bird"

I guess you must be quite tall then or have you had the seat adjusted so your feet can touch the floor whilst sat astride the 'Bird ?

How tall is quite tall then BBB, I`m 5`7" and a size 8.
The XX isn`t that big a bike, I can comfortably put both feet flat on the ground!! (Standard seat as well)

I dont know how tall is quite tall, I am 6'3" so never been an issue, I was just curious thats all as I imagined a size 8/10 to be a bit of a waif size. :k

You must have long legs toots, I'm 5'8" and I cant put my feet flat on the ground, I guess I'm just a shortarse. :}

Hi Baz,
I'm lucky to have quite long legs, so the height of the seat isn't an issue to me. I think the Ducati's seat was higher but that bike wasn't as wide as the Blackbird.
