Reversing into a parking spot in ASDA, got half way in when suddenly reversing sensors started going berserk, slammed the brakes on, still couldn’t see any obstruction through the back window, I got out to have a look & there was a fat dickhead on. Small mobilty scooter, he’d come off the pavement to try to beat me, he glared at me & had the cheek to tell me to fuck off, I think he was actually after a claim but was pissed off as his plan didn’t work, normally the mobility scooters park obstructing the doors, I told him if he didn’t move it he would be walking home as his scooter would be on ASDA roof.

More immaculate public behaviour in the Garden of England.

If you had a proper car, there'd be a reversing camera and you'd have seen the fat dickhead. Prolly be worth more than the rest of your car though :eusa_whistle:

It has a reversing camera but I had it turned off as it gives the impression that you have less room than you actually have.
Must admit, I don't like mine either. First had them in a couple of Ford SUVs when Mrs P and me were in the States in 2017. I liked the novelty but found I became overly reliant on the camera instead of looking over my shoulder and checking the mirrors. I use mine in the BM, but only as a last resort; haven't worked out how to turn it off yet.

Could have used a camera, or even a sensor, in my old focus when it comes to Asda. Reversing into a parking bay slowly, as I could see a lamp post out the rear window, I suddenly felt a little bump. Checked my wing mirrors, nothing there. Looked out the rear window, nope looked to be well short of the lamp post. Got out to have a look and found a small post about 2ft high guarding the lamp post. Totally impossible to see out of rear window due to it being so low and behind car so not visible in wing mirror.

Did that with my old Sierra, reversing into a pub car park to turn round, heard a scraping sound, got out to look, couldn’t see anything, couldn’t see any damage, pulled forward, more scraping, got out & discovered a broken concrete bollard, just a bit of scraping underneath the car.

Easier to just not go to Asda. Besides, Mozzer's is way better.

Not letting the car park itself - very retro cool.
