Heading for Faro Portugal

Hi Folks, getting the ferry from Ireland to Cherbourg this Saturday and heading south, first stop is La Rochelle France then Vitoria Gasteiz Spain then Merida Spain and finally Faro.
Anyone done this trip on the XX and got any tips ?

Carveiro !

Just returned from the algarve, the nicest town I found was Carveiro.
Small town, amazing resturants, ends in a small sandy bay with entertainment free every evening. Just along the coast from albuferra, near to Pria de Luce of madeline mcann fame. Great small friendly rock bar at rear of town called saucerful of secrets - highly recommended for the stunning statuesque classic beauty of the owner / barmaid alone.
