When I bought my new bike from Dobles I ordered a new Givi Wing system, when I picked th bike up it seemed that the indicators were being compressed and contorted by the Givi Wing system... But thought okay they must all be like that. I have just seen a picture of Shropslad's bike and his indicators are incorporated into the Givi Wing System..

I am curious to know if Dobles have fitted the wrong Givi system to my new pride and joy, cause they charged top dollar for the system... and the least I expect from a Honda main dealer is a professional service.. If they have fitted the wrong system I will be on the fekking phone first thing monday Morning and want someones gizzards served up on a plater.... 8l1nd :shooter:.

After being to Civi site I have found out that i should have a Y158 system fitted, having seen pictures I can say that I do not have a Y158 system fitted.. not sure what the F**** they have fitted.

But you can be assutred that come Monday morning all hell will breeak loose.... :shooter: 8l1nd

The Givi indicators are an 'extra'

Yes, the standard indicators are a very comfortable fit when the scaffolding is fitted.

If you go for the Givi indicators, then the standard ones are normally removed.

Sounds like they've fitted the N141 rack, when it should have really been the N140. See the link below

Should be the N140 @ 94 pounds ,, thats what I have on my bike,,,,, Dobles should know better :t My new rack is the same as my old one,, as Quinny says if you need to remove the standard indicators because they look shit all bent if they are left on,, other alternative is to fit smaller indicators,, but still best to have the givi ones as they are more visible.

definatly GO BACK to Dobles, dont phone the twats, its too easy to bullshit on"T"phone, if your stood in front of the git, you can show him things aint right, and the "sales staff" will find it difficult to consult "a sharper" brain if your stood in front of them, thus making "bullshit" difficult to spread, :bow:

spoke with Mike Doble, he said to get the bike booked in and they wil replace it.

I contacted Givi UK and they have confirmed that the wrong one has been fitted also. I checked my receipt and it states that I have paid for a N140. Quiney was spot on they have fitted an N141.

the earliest thay can get me in is 23rd August, bit long considering they made the cock up!!!.. will have to take yet another day out of my holidays....

The only difference between the 141/140 is the indicators.

Its 5 mins of a job (2 bolts) to fit the indicators.

Another 5 mins to remove the originals (again 2 bolts)

and then connect up the electrics.

Can't see that they can stretch it out to even 2 hours!

Givi rack

Bought my bike from Dobles, it also covers the rear indicators/squashes them.
No need to worry now, its got no front indicators......

Blimey.... Glad to hear your okay, sort of....looks like you have the wrong Givi wing on too...it must be one of their major floors...paying attention to detail....you aint gonna let them fix the bike are you...god knows what you will end up with :dunno:

Well Mike did say they are gonna replace it, I will call Mike Doble tomorrow and see if he can get the job done sooner than the 23rd. as it really is unacceptable that I should have to wait that long...

I am being nice at the moment.. using words like unacceptable...if there should be any unfortunate complications on their part, I am certain that we will gain a mutual agreement... and you can rest assured it WILL be in my favour...
