Proper roads (that's if ya can handle 'em mate?)

Sorry mate, not my idea of a ride out. If ya interested in a proper ride out with proper twisties (ask Ben, Samster, Simster, Andy Saunders, Dave T, Wolverine) let me know and I'll keep next Sunday and my head clear and show ya some proper roads.

See you at boxhill on either Saturday or Sunday, whichever day suits, I'm free on both

Hastings = girly roads :m (no offense BIF, 'cos I know what you think)

Hastings ??...Girly Roads ??....

Must admit ....the A21 ain't the most exciting road I've ever ridden but as I said.......

A ride down the 'boring' A21 beats sitting indoors on a Sunday watching soap opera's on the box !!!!:f

All I can say is if supa is gonna go riding with you mad lot then the old saying comes into play

supa "your on your own kid"

Sorry but its got to be said, there's more to riding a bike than screaming around twisty at god knows what speed just to impress the one's behind you and who'll ever listen to the tales you tell afterwards, cos it aint funny and it aint clever !!

And just for the record I went down the A21 for the first time on Sunday on our way to Hastings and I enjoyed the ride, so if that makes me a shite rider so be it, just because your not riding twistys all the time doesn't make it a worthless ride, I learnt to ride because I thought it would be nice and fun to be in the open air and enjoying the freedom being on a bike brings !!

I know of someone who came off there bike just because he was trying to keep up with the lunatic up front who was riding like {well thought he was} carl foggerty, and obviously he couldn't ride like they could, but he didn't want the others to think he wasn't any good, and that they would take the piss outta him, so a fun day out ended in disaster, a new bike totalled and a few weeks hospital stay all because he didn't have the courage to admit that he couldn't ride the way they did.

So I'm sorry but id sooner ride at my own pace and safely rather than trying to keep up with the nutter at the front, just in case they thought I was a shite rider, well hey I am and I admit it, but seeing as ive just passed my test hopefully my knowledge and experience will grow, never the less that doesn't mean that I will turn into a fooking loony on the road !!! Cos I won't !!!!!!

I love biking and hope to enjoy it for many years to come, but I want to be as safe as I can not only for me but for others out there two.......

Sorry but I feel strongly about this so I had to say something !!!!

well said Biker Babe

I like the twisties but not to scream along like a loony, I just enjoy the variety of bends etc. The A21 is okay, but I don't like it because there is so much traffic on it. Would much rather a country A or B road that is quieter and then I can practice my corners.

Ride to your ability I say, if you go beyond that then your an idiot.

I'm sorry but who is accused of screaming along

through twisties like a loony, who's riding outside of their ability, who's riding is dangerous and who's taking the piss out of who ?

I'm confused :dunno: Can someone please put the last two post's into context !
